We offer advanced laboratory services in hydrometallurgy - from initial chemical performance tests to continuous pilot studies. In our laboratory in Aachen, Germany, we develop processes for solvent extraction, focusing on efficient separation, selecting the right reagents and optimising each step. Using proprietary equipment and proven methodology, we help our customers move from test idea to verified process solution - quickly, cost-effectively and with full technical understanding.
MEAB ENGINEERING SERVICES
From feasibility study to finished plant
MEAB offers comprehensive engineering services for the development and implementation of hydrometallurgical processes. With extensive experience in solvent extraction, we take projects from concept stage to final design and start-up.
We often start with a feasibility study, where we analyse chemical data, process conditions and economic frameworks. Here we define raw materials, product specifications, process flows, and prepare investment calculations. The result is a thorough assessment of the feasibility and profitability of the process (ROA).
We then move on to the design phase, where we produce process flow diagrams (PFD), P&ID drawings, heat and mass balances, and specifications for equipment, piping, electrical, control systems and construction. We also handle safety analyses, HAZOP studies, environmental considerations, and layout for a reliable and efficient plant.
We also offer procurement, installation support, commissioning and documentation - whether it's a 100 litre per hour test flow or a complete industrial production line.
